As winter nears we worry more than ever about the feral cats struggling to survive on NJ streets. While many are being fed, far too few are being offered the medical care they desperately need. Our mission to to make sure every NJ resident who feeds feral cats is empowered to become a true caretaker. The only way to end this cycle of homeless cats is through spay/neuter. With climbing veterinary costs we do not want responsible residents to be stopped by financial constraints.
Our friends at the Community Foundation of NJ (https://cfnj.org/share) share our goal of no more homeless cats born on our streets. They have provided a generous grant that will allow more of our feral friends to receive the care they need through our 50 Feral Fix program. (https://www.whiskersrescue.org/50-feral-fix) The Great Companions Fund will help new caretakers TNVR cats with out vouchers.
The Community Foundation of NJ assists with tacking societal and community issues across NJ. We are so grateful that they have chosen to support our program. Our shared goal of resolving community issues through education and financial assistance to those in need will help not only homeless cats but provide a better quality of life to neighborhoods with free roaming cats.
We want to thank the Community Foundation of NJ for helping us empower more NJ residents to become responsible feral cat caretakers.
