2025 Spring Newsletter

It's that dreaded time of year when residents start to see pregnant cats and litters of kittens. While we dream of world where the suffering of "kitten season" does not exist outside, the answer is always prevention and robust animal control programs that serve residents instead of turn them away.

Dumpling was just a kitten when she suffered near fatal injuries and animal control refused to address an out of control indoor and outdoor cat population.

Some Spring Newsletter highlights:

  • Read about Dumpling's rescue

  • What do you do when your town refuses to respond to calls regarding cats? The 50 Feral Fix program has shown us just how bad the NJ cat situation is and how municipalities cut services every year by turning you away and not logging calls - it creates "invisible cats" and the illusion that no action is needed.

  • Bill A4898/S3919 is gaining traction in the NJ Assembly. It's the first step in stopping the cycle of cats born to suffer outside. Let your representative know that you support A4898/S3919.

  • We are serious about fixing New Jersey's decision to "opt out" of the cat overpopulation crisis. Let's get political.

  • Donate a trap to a caretaker in need - quality trapping equipment is a must for successful TNR that gets every last cat.

  • We always need jewelry and donations to keep funding our vouchers, but now more than ever.

Dumpling is one of the lucky ones. Far too many just like her never get the intervention they need.
